A faster web.
Lighter.
More responsible.
Design doesn't stop at what your visitors see. It also includes what they don't: performance, accessibility, and the environmental footprint of every project.
Why it matters
The internet isn't immaterial.
It's easy to forget that every click, every page load, every pixel displayed consumes real energy in data centres, undersea cables and your devices.
4%
of global CO₂ emissions come from digital — as much as civil aviation
2.5 MB
average weight of a web page in 2024, versus 0.5 MB in 2010 — 5× heavier
1.76g
of CO₂ emitted on average per page view on a standard website
53%
of visits abandoned if loading takes more than 3 seconds on mobile

What I put into practice
My best practices,
on every project without exception.
PageSpeed score 90+ guaranteed
Every site is delivered with a Lighthouse performance score above 90. A fast site consumes fewer resources — for you, for the visitor, for the planet.
Optimised images by default
Automatic conversion to WebP, intelligent compression, lazy loading. A well-processed image can reduce page weight by a factor of 5.
Static generation (no server idling)
The sites I build are generated as static HTML files. No server runs continuously to respond to each visit: the pages already exist, ready to be served.
Zero tracking without consent
No Google Analytics loaded on the fly, no unnecessary tracking pixels. If analytics is needed, lightweight GDPR-compliant solutions are used (Plausible, Fathom).
System fonts first
When possible, I use system fonts already present on the visitor's device. Zero additional network request, instant rendering.
Accessibility (WCAG AA)
Sufficient contrast, keyboard navigation, semantic markup. An accessible site is also better understood by Google — and by all your visitors.
Minified code, controlled dependencies
No library loaded without reason. JavaScript is minified and split into chunks (code splitting): only what the page needs is downloaded.
Built to last
A well-designed site doesn't need to be rebuilt every 2 years. Fewer rebuilds = fewer resources consumed. Durability is an economic commitment as much as an ecological one.
Proof in the facts
This site scores green.
Not by chance. Because every technical decision was made with that goal in mind. Check it yourself on PageSpeed Insights.
